Who is Revvsvn?
Revvsvn is Roy Abney.
I am the husband of the most amazing woman in the world, Sue. Sue teaches senior honors english and yearbook. Together we have three kids, two are grown one in high school. I say together because we are both widowed, and God has put us “together”. All three have done VERY well in school. Shawna (oldest) graduated from UF (GO GATORS!!) and teaches elementary in Jacksonville. Justin (only boy) graduated from USF and is in the Hillsborough county Sheriff’s academy. Katie (youngest) is a sophomore at Newsome High School.
Oh and the name? Well….for about six years I led a ministry on 7th Ave in Ybor City, the party district of Tampa. While on 7th, I started Christ on 7th, a ministry dedicated to reaching the workers on 7th Ave. I was ordained while ministering in Ybor and adopted the name. It has just stuck with me since.
I am currently the pastor of ‘the Refuge’, the student ministry of Church for All Nations in Riverview, Fl. I have a full time job outside of church, but my passion is seeing young people build their relationship with God.
