Refuge Dec 8

Man was I feelin’ rough on Saturday night. I’ve been fighting a cold all week, I actually missed a day of work because of it. (I don’t miss work, so you know I was sick) But regardless of my physical condition, My spirit man still responds to the annointing. God SHOWED UP!!

The Grinch also showed up Saturday night. We talked about the four grinches that steal Christmas from us or that we partner with and steal Christmas from others.

3)Busy-ness

4)Familiarity and apathy

There was a good response and four kids rededicated their lives to Christ.

That’s EPIC!

The worship team is beginning to gel. That’s right they’re gellin’ like felons!!! Scott is doing a dynamic job with worship at the Refuge. What a blessing he and Ashley are to our family.

People are bringing friends and those friends are being touched by God. Way to go.

Our Sunday morning announcement had The Baby Jesus Prayer from “Talladegha Nights”. How funny that was. Next week we are talking about the joyous folks that as soon as you mention Baby Jesus they get all giddy, but the rest of the year they are quite normal. You know normal: However I wake up is how my day goes.

Be ready for some singing, a video a some announcements for the soon coming winter retreat. Woo Hoo!

Also, give Sarah a call. Let her know we want to hear Jimmy Eat World’s “Last Christmas.” (Use your Baby Jesus powers!)
