Recap from October 6

Galations 2:20 says we no longer live our lives, but Christ lives through us. This means I do what He tells me, and I say what He says. If we go back through His teachings there are a few, very specific things He told us to do.Here’s two from Matthew chapter 5.

1) Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God.  Whatever pre-occupies you with will be your priority. We can choose what pre-occupies us. I have favorites on my computer. Fantasy NASCAR(the color of my neck comes out in everything I do), ESPN, 5 blog sites of various pastors, three church websites, not counting CFAN and Refuge. These are things I look at everyday. I have a twenty minute window from the time Sue leaves to go to work in the mornings until I have to leave. This is a great quiet time b4 work. We must prioritize. Where you want your heart to be, give your treasure. (put your money where your mouth is.) 2)Take up your cross and follow Him…Everyday! We must decide everyday if we are serving Him. There has to be a reason His mercies are new every morning. Could it possibly be that everyday, I have to crucify my flesh and I need His mercies?

This week we are talking about three other simple commands: make disciples, shine, be salty. Good stuff!!
